Wild Romance – Update 1.2

We’re still working on improving Wild Romance: Mofu Mofu Edition and are excited to announce the release of version 1.2!  We’ve been looking at what other visual novels have been doing and seeing what techniques we can use to improve Wild Romance and our future titles. We want our games to be on the cutting edge and we hope you enjoy.  Feedback is very much appreciated.

There is a new patch file although you can still play with the old one.  The only thing missing in the old patch file is in the scenes where you see the girls naked sprites they will have «beams of light» covering their breasts as they are in the «all-ages» Steam release.  Downloading the new patch will get you updated and «uncensored» boobs too.

The reason we have changed the sprites is because we had to upscale them so that they can be «zoomed in» during sections of the game where it would show a close up on the girl’s face or boobs it would load a new pre-zoomed sprite and the current sprites were too low resolution to be zoomed in on. During this process I started experimenting with Live Composites which allowed me to make the sprites blink and animate differently, with the addition of these more subtle animations I thought it was high time to remove the bouncing sprites that people didn’t seem to like in favor of having these Live Composites where now we can have the characters appear to talk and blink!

In a review I read when Mofu Mofu Edition first came out a feature that was requested was to have a text box that appears behind the dialogue that you can dynamically adjust the opacity of! Hopefully this makes the scenes where there is white text on over white easier to read and doesn’t get in the way of the character sprites.
